Step by step — building fitness, friendship and wellbeing together
Our community walks are open to everyone — young and old, beginners and regular walkers. They take place in local parks, green spaces and accessible trails around Manchester and surrounding areas.
Each walk is led by friendly volunteers who create a welcoming atmosphere. There is no pressure to keep a fast pace; the emphasis is on moving at a comfortable speed, chatting, and enjoying the outdoors. Many participants tell us the social side is just as valuable as the physical benefits.
Regular walking improves cardiovascular health, strengthens muscles and supports healthy weight management.
Time outdoors and gentle exercise reduce stress, anxiety and feelings of isolation.
Make new friends, strengthen community ties and feel part of a supportive network.
